Gillitts, Kloof & Hillcrest practices
Riley Physiotherapists have been a trusted name in Physiotherapy in the upper Highway since 2003.
Juli-Ann Riley is the founder of this practice and is still actively involved in the running of the practice, staff mentoring and training and providing physiotherapy herself.
The main branch is located at The Gillitts Medical Centre, Durban, KwaZulu Natal. There are also rooms in Kloof (Femina Health) and Hillcrest (Le Domaine Health). Additionally, consultations are provided in all nursing homes and private homes in the upper highway, for those that cannot come to us. We make physiotherapy accessible and provide the personal touch.
We are a small team that can offer this personalised treatment, but are large enough to offer an accessible and comprehensive physiotherapy service, with expertise, additional training and experience across the various physiotherapy fields.
Juli-Ann Riley has a passion for providing quality physiotherapy care and has 23-years’ experience in the field. She has special interests in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions, sports physiotherapy, chronic pain management, women’s health and “complicated conditions.” Juli has run a physiotherapy practice since 2003 and presented lectures to physiotherapists on manual therapy, orthopaedic conditions, practice management and ethical issues. Juli was the Physiotherapy Private Practitioners representative for many years and has also been the KZN Orthopaedic Manual Therapy Chairman and the Animal Physiotherapy Chairman. She completed her postgraduate Orthopaedic Manual Therapy course with distinction and was awarded the prize for the top student. She also had a research paper on “pinched nerves” published and presented at a National Physiotherapy congress. Juli was also chosen and trained as an IASP (International Association for the Study of Pain) Pain Ambassador and has provided training to various healthcare practitioners throughout the province. In her off-time, Juli is usually outdoors in nature or in the sea and loves staying active, scuba diving, bodyboarding and, most recently, paddling, having completed 2 solo Dusis. She currently has 5 rescue dogs and is driven in her pursuit to relieve suffering, in both animals and people
